Overview

The Saramonic SR-AXM3 is a pair of high-quality shotgun microphones with XLR connectors that are incredibly compact and lightweight. They were designed to be used in camera audio equipment like the Saramonic SR-AX107, SR-PAX1, SR-PAX2, SR-AX104, BMCC-A01, MixAdapter, MixMic and the SmartRig+ series, but they can also be used in any XLR mic input or cable that provides phantom power. They both provide clean and rich broadcast-quality audio. If you have a piece of gear with XLR inputs, you’re forced to run a cable from that input in order to connect a microphone. The SR-AXM3 are ultra-compact and lightweight, so they’re ideal for flush-mounting directly to equipment like the previously mentioned Saramonic gear, as well as devices like the Zoom H4n and the Tascam DR-60D. These microphones feature cardioid pickup patterns, which reject unwanted sounds to the sides and rear, and focus on the sounds in front. Even though they’re ultra-compact, their shotgun capsules provide more reach than normal microphones, and their all-metal construction provides the strength you need for video production.
