Overview
The Saramonic SR-Q2 is a compact and lightweight handheld audio recorder that features a pair of high-quality stereo condenser microphones that make it easy to capture rich, broadcast-quality sound for video productions, music recording, podcasting, journalism and more. The SR-Q2 can also record line-level signals or external microphones with its separate dedicated 3.5mm mic and line inputs. Two 3.5mm outputs let you connect headphones and send audio to cameras and other devices. An 8GB MicroSD card, a protective travel case, high-wind furry and foam windscreens and more are all included. The SR-Q2 records up to 96kHz high-resolution audio files that you can share with a computer via the built-in USB-C port and included cable.
Straightforward and flexible
The SR-Q2 makes recording great sounding audio as easy as pressing a single button. You simply switch it on, press Record — and you’re rolling! The easy-to-read backlit LCD screen tells you everything you need to know, and LED lights let you know when you’re recording, when the signal is peaking, and when you’re connected through USB-C. Recording levels can be quickly adjusted with dedicated buttons, and volume buttons let you raise or lower the level of the headphones and the built-in speaker.
Plays well with others
Got an external microphone? The SR-Q2 has a dedicated stereo input for it. Want to record line-level audio from DJ mixer or another device? The SR-Q2 has a dedicated input for that, too. Want to connect your audio directly into a camera? The dedicated line output on the SR-Q2 can be plugged directly into the mic input on a camera to record great sounding audio without needing an expensive attenuator cable. It also has a headphone output that lets you always monitor the audio, no matter what you’re doing.

Need to avoid recording ultra-low frequency sounds like footsteps? Turn on the variable low-cut filter. Working in an unpredictable environment? Turn on the built-in limiter and never clip. What to plug in a wired external lavalier mic (sold separately) and stick the SR-Q2 in your subject’s pocket? Switch on the Hold function and avoid unwanted settings changes. Need to mount the SR-Q2 beyond your reach? Control it with the Saramonic RC-X remote control (sold separately). Need to mount the SR-Q2 to a camera cage, small tripod stands or elsewhere? Utilize its built-in metal 1/4 20 tripod thread. With operating time of over 19 hours on 2 AA batteries, it features excellent battery life and can even be externally powered via USB-C, too.
